options

ive ruled out two options for my lights as they will cost too much or take too long to carry out.
the one with independant solar panels will cost too much to install and my conpany dont have the budget to do so.
the idea i had of rearanging the lighting is still being considered but in my opinion i think that it will require some kind of contractors or lifting equipment in order to move the posts therefore it might be out of budget.
the best idea i think is to use the retro fit led lamps and just change them out for them.

i will be doing a costing for the running costs and compare it to the existing lights, i will also look into how long it will take for the savings to pay back the cost of the change.

i have made a plan using microsoft project to keep track of the things i have done and things that i need to do . its helping me see what i need to do next and what is already done. it helps me bacause i can put in time scales and see how long i have got to complete the given task. this makes managing the project a whole lot easier as its all in one simple clear program.

i have recieved a quote for the access equipment and will attatch this soon, we are deffinatly thinking about going down the route of carrying out the work ourselfs as it will be alot more cost effective and my manager wants us to do it

i have rang acess companys to get a rough quote on hiring a cherry picker to carry out the work we need done, and they should be with me this week. we are going down the path of buying retrofit lamps and fitting them ourselfs as it will be the easiest and cheapest way to do this

we are thinking up time scales now and trying to plan a time when we can do this work and it wont affect other major things happening on site at the same time so we can do it uninterupted.
im looking into other options of lights now as there are new things out this year to look at

we are deciding what option to choose, we will be looking into sources of power and maybe some green options such as solar panels to power each fitting. we are limited on what we can do because of the budget we've got. i am going to evaluate the different ideas i've got and choose the beast most cost effective option.

i have done a risk assessment which i will attach to this blog. the out come of doing this risk assessment was that the light change is safe enough for us to do our self s it just now depends on price and the quickest way to carry it out. if i and the other electrician do it the company will then be without an electrician for the duration of the LED change, so that's another things to consider unless we can do it out of hours but then we would have to be payed time and a half for the out of hours work and that means we can still do normal duties during the day.
